CHRISTINA PIRELLO became a vegetarian at the age of fourteen. In 1983, after being diagnosed with terminal leukemia, she decided to forgo conventional medical therapies and turned to nutritionùand whole foods cookingùto cure herself. For the past eight years, Christina has been teaching whole foods cooking classes, catering, and lecturing nationwide. She and her husband also publish a bi-monthly natural foods magazine, MacroChef.
